CALL FOR COLLABORATION: Mobilizing the Arts for COVID-19 Communication and Coping

COVID-19 is a public health crisis of unprecedented magnitude. Individual and collective behaviors are contributing significantly to the steep upward curve of COVID-19 incidence as people struggle to adhere and adapt to social distancing, shelter-in-place measures, and sudden financial uncertainties. 

The arts are one the of the most powerful means for communication and coping we have at our disposal today.

This Call for Collaboration offers examples and resources for using to arts to advance support communication, connection, coping and wellbeing in the COVID-19 crisis. It invites public health, arts and culture, and community development professionals, programs and agencies to:

  • Engage and pay artists
  • Collaborate
  • Source reliable information
  • Adapt programming
  • Facilitate connection
  • Think long-term
