COTA Recognition Ceremony

The Spring Commencement season includes three separate ceremonies for COTA graduates:

University Doctoral Ceremony - Thursday, May 1, 9-11 am, Stephen C. O'Connell Center
Doctoral degree recipients will be individually recognized and hooded on stage. This ceremony is only for doctoral graduates from across UF. 

University-Wide Commencement Ceremony - Friday, May 2, 7-9 pm, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
At this university-wide ceremony, degrees are conferred by the university president and undergraduate students will turn their tassel. This ceremony is for all university graduates receiving a bachelor’s, master’s, or specialist's degree.  Students will not walk across the stage or be individually recognized at this ceremony.

COTA Recognition Ceremony – Sunday, May 4, 7-9 pm, Stephen C. O'Connell Center
College Recognition Ceremonies are where bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist’s degree graduates will walk across the stage to be individually recognized and celebrated as their name is called. (Doctoral graduates may also walk across the stage and be recognized at this ceremony but will only be hooded at the University Doctoral Ceremony.)  This ceremony is for all College of the Arts degree candidates.

COTA Recognition Ceremony Details:

Location: Stephen C. O’Connell Center
Candidate Assembly: Gate 4 will open for graduates at 5:30 pm
Guest Admission: Gates 1 & 3 will open for guests at 5:30 pm
Tickets: The recognition ceremony is not ticketed. There are no tickets and no guest limits for this ceremony.
