Current UF Students

Music Major*, Music Performance Minor, or Performance Certificate
An audition is required for all students applying for a music major, music performance minor, or performance certificate (Additional portfolio required for BS Music Business & Entrepreneurship). It is not possible to become a music major if the student does not exhibit sufficient performing competence. We allow current students the opportunity to audition during fall and spring semesters, as well as our scheduled audition days.

If you are interested in a music major, performance minor, or performance certificate please review the Audition Requirements, complete the School of Music Application and contact the Undergraduate Music Advising Office at music@arts.ufl.edu or stop by MUB Room 106.

*Music Major: Students are encouraged to change their major to music during the first year at UF to ensure timely graduation.

Non-Performance Muisc Minor
No audition required. Please contact the Undergraduate Music Advising office at music@arts.ufl.edu or stop by MUB Room 106 to confirm eligibility and receive instructions for pursuing a non-performance music minor.

Audition Dates - Students may audition during any of the following times (select on your application)
