In Fall 2017, Mint students Libby Inlow and Alicia Frazier were chosen to collaborate with Michelle Hazen, local Gainesville realtor who specializes in vintage housing and preservation, in the development of branding for her realty office, Sage Realty. Students analyzed the real estate market of the city, developed a competitive analysis, and delivered a branding system that is currently in use.
As stated in the brand guidelines,
“The logo represents many of Sage’s dualities. It represents its organic elements with clean geometry and negative space, and is both modern and vintage. The keyhole references the services that a real estate agency has to offer. The plant inside represents the sage, while also symbolizing growth and hope (a plant flourishing in an enclosed space.) The logo uses the ‘Mrs. Eaves’ typeface to highlight both the organic and sophisticated qualities of Sage Realty. Having both a horizontal and vertical logo ensures that the Sage logo can fit into any space or medium. Muted green represents the color of sage, while the burgundy of the typeface contributes with contrast and less feminine quality to the logo.”
